Use the beads. Not sure what the shop used, but I was around $25 per tire and totally worth it

Awesome, problem is this is a relatively old school shop so I might have to buy them and figure out how much to use. 37x12.5x20

I want to use the beads since 2 of my rims the inner lip where weights are knocked are destroyed due to wheeling. And I don't want to tape tape weight, not accurate

If you search on google I think I found it there before they have charts to look up your tire size and it shows you how many ounces to run. My only issue with them ever was it says in the directions to throw the little bag in the tire and it breaks open and balances. From what I have seen it is best to pour all the beads in and leave the bag out. Otherwise I had a handful of beads "clump" up in a corner of the bag and bounce around the tire causing a vibration. I broke down the tire after having the vibration and found that. But ever since I started pouring in the beads themselves I never had any issues.

If you air up and down a lot you can use the good air soft BBs scaled out to the weight that the website for the balancing beads says to use. It's just an alternative to keep the bagged beads from clumping up with the humid air going in and out of it more than once.

I use Centramatics on the dually and Dynabeads in everything else, cars, motorcycles, etc. Both have worked fine for me. I dont use the bags though. i just put the beads in before I set the beads on the tires.

Need to do this. My inner weight keeps falling off.

The only reason I can think of for the difference depending on 1/2 or 1 ton is if it is a D or E+ rated tire. Even in my trailer tires I dont use that much weight, 245/75/16 E rated tires. I put about 1.5 oz. in those. 3-4 oz. seems like a lot to me. For that tire is 30.5" tall. So Radius is 15.25". Rim is 16", radius is 8". So sidewall is in the 7.25". If we round this to 8. 2oz of beads will have the same effect as 4 oz on the rim. If a tire is off where you need that much weight I would say the tire is bad.

Anybody here *actually* using airsoft pellets?

I used Dynabeads on my bike, worked great, but the ceramic ones are not cheap, and at 6oz per tire.....yowzers.

I've heard of the plastic ones breaking part. Which is why I went with the steel bb's. I actually need to pull this set of tires off and do that to them. But I'm in no position to break down and reinflate tires. Let alone 6. Lol
