I had never had any issues with the fluidampr. However there was a batch of dampener's that left their shop without going through inspection. Turns out there was a batch of dampener's that were bad. Fluidampr is in the same town as i live in. I asked about the issues and was told what happened and why there was a problem with them. I think that everything has been taken care of about the LPOP gears breaking with them tho.

I dont want to run the fluidamper... it will either be the ati super damper or the stock one... of course whole rotating assembly will be balanced... when is an aftermarket damper really needed?

I have a ati on the ranger. But I would lock tight the bolts holding it on the adapter or just check them. I had some get loose and caused me to loose a front cover, oil pump, and 2 turbos.

It is sfi rated. Only reason I got it was In case I ever got it to 9.99 I would have one because it's required. I was getting the assembly balanced and wanted it there. (even tho it says not to balance it with it on there)

how come they dont want it on there if the motor is balanced? same reason as above, im getting my 7.3 balanced. or is it just a 6.0 thing?

because It wouldnt be set. so It could be way off balance out of the box. I think it said you have to take it up to 5000 rpm a few times for it to be working right. I would have to reread the card thats in there.

Edit: would like to add that it is 10.99 for the sfi rated balancer not 9.99 sorry about that.

fluidamper's take out LPOPs on 6.0s

There has been many running them including myself with no issues. And i do know that there has also been some that have had issues. I've got over a dozen hooks down the dirt track and some passes down the strip and some good burn outs with it on my truck. I've even bounced off my rev limiter at 4500rpms with it on it....still no issues. I bet more than likely it seems like the trucks that have had issues got their dampener's from the bad batch that was made and they were overlooked when manufactured. I took mine back to Fluidampr to have it tested to see if it was one of the defected ones...and turned out to be ok. I know alot of guys are afraid to run them from what was happening with the LPOP gears for awhile. But i haven't heard of any recent problems with them. I wouldn't be afraid of putting one on another 6L if i had one.
