Is there any way to do the drivers side without removing the coolant hose that goes to the degas bottle? I don't want to lose my expensive ELC. I tried without removing the hose and I just can't get the damn thing off, let alone put new washers on and torque down the new one.

Thanks

You can do it. That is how I did mine. You just come in from the side rather than the top. It just takes patience and alcohol seems to help. I've got big hands which is a huge disadvantage but it can be done.

I can get it off, but how the hell do you get your hands in there to get the o-ring on the inside of the fuel line?

Oring? It should be a copper washer. This is where the alcohol comes in with the patience. LOL You put the outer one on with a dab of grease. Slide banjo bolt through fitting washer with dab of grease then find the hole and screw. You can take that where you want! LMAO. The grease helps hold the washer on.

Boy, this thread went in the gutter fast.

I used the handle end of a ratchet to pry against the hose to just deform it enough to get in there. That side was the easy one for me. Dual alts suck. A ratcheting wrench will help immensely.

Finally got them installed. I just needed a racheting wrench to make it easier. Is it just me or does the engines "cackle" seem to be a bit louder?
