battery problems

Hey guys I just bought 2 btx 65 850 batteries. 256.** my question is my truck is a 2008. That seems kinda quick short life. What could be the problem? Just a bad battery. Only one was shot. The other is still ok. The bad one was leaking around top caps. The good one was spewing was the spewing due to working to make up the slack for the other

The original batteries are 5 years old. I replaced mine last year and my truck is an 09.

I would replace both while you're there. If you can swing the cost

Ok just checking. I went ahead and bought 2 for the grand total of 256.00 It happened all of the sudden.

I need to to get around to changing mine, originals.
In my 04 3.5 years was about the limit.
I think the reason these lasted longer was because it is not a daily driver and when driven it is running for a while and not start and stopping.

Just make sure all your electrical connections are tight and clean.

Thanks guys. I've got two new btx 65 850'S. They went in without a problem. Sure does crank better.
