I didn't even notice that lol, It came up when I searched "7.3 s400 intake" I read the description and got too excited. Its on a bunch of sites as universal fitment, but think your right about it looking way to short.

I am running an afe big boost with 4" plumbing. It makes 50psi. I'm thinking it flows adequately. Its still just a 3" turbo no matter what though I feel you on that big inlet is sexy!

I'm using a 6637 to the stock hose around the hot side pipe, then a 4" piece of exhaust to the 5.5" elbow on the turbo.

I run a 5inch elbow to a 4inch pipe then to the air filter. I take the filter off to drag race. My tuck pulls 60psi with filter on

I did have a comp 72 but it's for sale now. I went to a custom 75. No I don't really notice a difference with the filter

Ok thanks for the input, I guess if everyone else reduces it without any noticeable effects I will too haha.

6637 or 2790 if you dont feel that the 6637 is adequate.. 6637/donaldson made over 800hp on swamps engine dyno on a 7.3.. i wont run anything else on my trucks...

Mine seems to run .3 faster in the 1/4 mile without a 6637 filter

And at what pressure drop across the element and what amount of filtration? Don't recall ever seeing a defining statement comparing apples to apples....

Hard to believe Swamp's could make 800hp on the dyno with only 425 cfm airflow.
lol.. cant argue with what people read online... has to be the truth... everyone is stuck on cfm and not the hp numbers being put out.... but swamps must be doing something wrong... cant be right.. i have heard a time or 2 that the 6637 will make more power then the afe big boost filter...

good luck with that oiled filter. that one is known just like a k&n to dust the *** out of your turbo..
