Hey all driving my 01 F350 CCLB Dually back from Maryland last week and heard a noise starting to surface. Pretty bad now so I went to the parts store this weekend and got a unit bearing assembly. Still noise persists acts like a bearing but now has new units on both sides? Any ideas? I'm thinking front diff?

Have you checked to make sure the hub is not locked at least on that one side. Reach under and try to the spin the shaft by the U joint.

Could maybe be something with the hub itself.

What exactly are the symptoms?

Tarm I removed the hubs and drove and the noise is still present.

Ghohouston I'll try locking them in and see what happens.

Have you done the typical "wheel off the ground" wiggle and rotate for each wheel to see if you find anything? Thinking ball joints somehow ?? What about the tie rods sway bar etc bushings?

Just started looking around and found the rear tires almost bald. Took some measurements found rear is tweaked bough new one yesterday will be in today. Going to put it in tomorrow then replace tires then check again. Sounds like its from front but the rear is def bent at the axle housing. Ugh gotta go start with the obvious then I'll get back to you thanks for the help so far.
