Tail pipe is a stinger (the hangers broke on the tail pipe so i took it off and put the tip on the pipe shooting down over the rear. I'm sure this will work exactly the same for a 6.7, as they have hairdryer noise as well. My truck is quieter then stock at idle. Absolutely no interior drone. Absolutely no hair dryer noise. I do have a aero turbine xl5050 for when the packing burns out of the muffler from the exhaust kit. The xl4040 is piped in directly after the down pipe. So yes, as far forward as you can get it.
