I'm thinking about saving up for a set of summer tires and wheels combo. Looking maybe at a set of smaller OEM wheels and throwing a light street tire on like a 420s. I'm not into that tire much but seems to be the lightest and they hook up well... Anyway, just wondering what the best or even middle of the road tire size/wheel size combo. Any idea on a decent looking style of OEM wheels, the 03s maybe?

A few guys run the dune grapplers or I have seen a few with a/t's that are not very aggressive. Nittos hook well soft compound I am guessing, the pirelli scorpian atr hooks great when warm soft yet hard wet performance was stellar snow ice loved em but hated them off road in general pirelli makes a damn good tire.

my "drag setup" were 16x10 mickey thompson wheels and tires were a little over 30" x 13.00 tires- mickey thompson drag radials. who knows if that is the best setup but the truck is totally different than with even small 33" tires

Im looking at trying to find a cheap OEM wheel set to throw in track tires on. Any idea what years will fit on an 06? Im going to guess 99-10? Id most likely go for an OEM aluminum Mickey Thompson style wheel ( the ones with the holes in them ) I think there are two variations, the 03 and 05 years?

What about wheel size? How much does that factory? I was thinking a 16 or 17.. It would be cheaper for tires no doubt.

16s won't fit on an 06. Buy some factory 17s and put some of the original toyo proxies on em.
