Just bought a 2015 f350 platinum and the thing rides like a tank comapared to my 08. Front is an easy spring swap with maybe a shock upgrade. But what about the rear? It only has two leafs with a overload and helper. Its not like I can pull a leaf out. Anyone know where I can find spring codes for the rear leafs? I want to go to a softer spring then add air bags for towing. Rear is an inch or so higher then I would like so I don't mind a lower spring. Either way I can adjust the ride height with a front spacer and rear block all said and done. Adding traction bars either way. Not looking for it to ride like a caddy but I don't see why it should not at least ride as good as my 08...

Put some miles on it first and let it settle.
I cant believe that a 15 would ride rougher then an 08.
The 11+ springs are one of the things changed to make it ride better.
Id start with shocks at most. Just hate to see you spend the money for no reason.

My 08 had 5200lb front springs with 4 leaf rear with the thick overload and the smallest leaf pulled. Its a caddy compared to the platinum. It also had timbrens for pulling my enclosed. Worked perfect. Just want to get somewhere close to that but not sure where to go with the rear only having two leafs stock. Currently my wife is laughing at me about how nice her new (my old truck) rides in comparison to my new one.

And I am trying to make an attempt to leave the motor stock as long as I can. So I should be good there for at least another few months or so lol

For $750 you can add a Carli Add-A-Pack to the rear. It replaces the bottom over load with multiple thinner and softer leafs. That and a nice shock and your truck should ride great.

My 08 rode much better than my 2015 lariat . I put fox shocks along with 4inch bds lift and it's much better but still not as good as my stock 08.

I swapped '11 leaves into my '09 because I had heard they rode better. Mine didn't, at least with 0 weight in the bed. If there is a little bit of weight in the bed it does ride very nice though. I've got a 200 pounds of sand bags that stay back there now.

I don't have a problem with removing the overload leaf and not replacing it at all. I just didn't think that by itself would help much. Is there any shocks better for the money then the fox shocks pmf sells? That's the high end of what I would like to spend on shocks.

I have seen a handful of people say put some weight in the back. With a truck as heavy as these already are that should not be needed. That being said I do still need to add my b&w gooseneck.

Going to look more into the Carli products.

Best info I have found is the stock rear springs are(2/1 leaf) 2700lb rated. My 08 (4/1 leaf) were 2700lb rated then I pulled one leaf and the bottom so they are a straight 3 leaf pack. The only good option I have found so far is the Carli full packs at $1500. Little more then I was looking to spend.

Before you do anything, check your air pressure on the tires. When I bought my '08 the front were at 60psi and the right rear was at 90 psi and the left rear was at 70psi. Just a lazy tech who forgot to check air pressures, that kind of stuff drives me nuts. With no weight in the bed you could probably run 65psi in the rears with no issues, just don't forget to air up if carrying something heavy.

will the 08 springs fit the 15? Sounds like a step backward to me, but if you like the ride...

Yes. The 08-10 springs will fit. Techically the 2015 2700lb springs should ride better then the 08 2700lb springs. But. Since the 08s have four leaves I can pull out a leaf making it softer. Call it maybe a 2400lb spring. Doesn't sound like much but it is a night and day difference.

Swap the fronts for lighter ones and the rears should be fine. If need be look into hell wigs setup for the rear. Corbin was telling me about them I'm going to get them for my next truck
