Boost question

Im new here and newer to the 6.0. I have an 03 F250 with the 6.0 that I fairly recently bought and I just got the SCT livewireTS+. The truck is all stock minus a straight pipe and with the canned tunes on the SCT my boost hits 30-33 psi depending on the tune whether I'm WOT or just accelerating from a cruising speed. I'm reading the boost off the SCT that's plugged into the obdII. I'm wondering anyone else with an 03 have similar boost or is this abnormal. I thought above 30psi was no good. Thanks for you input.

Like everyone else said... if you want to accurate read higher than about 28-32psi then you need to get a boost gauge.


Also... more than about 28-32psi on a stock turbo will not make any more power. You are probably just spiking EBP. I can write a tune that makes 40-50psi of boost on a stock turbo... but it will be losing power at that point.
