I have a modified version of the BPD kit on my truck and really like it. I haven't towed with it yet but so far so good. I have had the kit on my truck for about 15k miles.

Well I initially tried to make my own system using only their oil transfer block but the two kits that I made never flowed the oil like the BPD kit was designed to so I ended up getting their oil filter and oil cooler and I just use my own thermostat that I found as well as putting stuff in slightly different locations. I use less hose than they do now but it was a lot of work. I will post some pics later but I was mostly commenting on the fact that their system works great and the stuff is of VERY high quality. You wont be disappointed if you go with them. If you do get their oil cooler, there really isnt any need to have a coolant filter on your motor. Not saying you couldnt use one to clean up all the casting sand but that there really isnt anything that is going to plug, if you have an EGR delete and a BPD oil cooler. JMOs.

I have BPD oil cooler. I installed it this past december. So far, I am really impressed with it. Every single part is top quality. The install was not really that difficult. It just took a little longer than replacing the oil cooler. I got the cold weather kit too with the thermostat, and it has worked well this past winter. Even in tmeps around 0* the truck starts up great and warms up in the same wmount of time as with the stock oil cooler.

Nice I was curious if I should get the kit with a thermostat or just the basic kit. I do see cold weather in the winter just below freezing in most cases but sometimes it will dip lower !?

I would. Unless you live in a very hot climate, I think there is a benefit to the thermostat. The operating temperature for the oil is well above the ambient air temperature in almost all climates. The faster you get the oil up to operating temperatures the better off you are. And no one likes to wait for 20 minutes for the truck to warm up.

:whs: I highly recommend an oil thermostat. Not only will it get the oil up to a certain temperature faster, it will help keep it at a certain temperature regardless if you are towing or just driving empty. This way you will more than likely be able to keep condensation from staying the oil and everything else will move a lot easier.
