So have a very wierd issue. My truck has been sitting for a few months some inside the shop and outside. Got it running. Truck runs awesome. Problem im having is with brake lights.
With brake light bulbs in. And the lights turned on. The 4 way flashers will work.but the fender running lights will also blink in sync with the flashers. As well as the third brake light
Brake bulbs in- lights turned on normal. I have no fender lights
Brake bulbs in- when I put the truck in reverse I have no lights at all
Brake bulbs out- all liights work fine (no brake lights obviously) but when I put the truck in reverse the fender lights go out.
Rear turn signals don't work but fronts do when there are bulbs in the brake lights.
Now keep in mind my headlights,3rd brake light is lite up but it does not come on when i press the brakes.dash lights,cab lights all work as normal all the time. I have no burnt fuses. I thought the brake bulbs could be bad and replaced them with the same result.I also have no horn no matter what. Not sure if that is relevant. I thought it could be a flasher issue so I replaced the flasher relay. I need to use the truck and obviously I can't do a whole lot with no brake lights.
Any ideas....btw truck is a 2000 f450 with a dually bed(wired up like a normal dually bed would be) And the truck is an xl. Radio gauges all of the other lights etc w
