Braking issue : Hard ABS feeling to normal braking when under heavy throttle

So this has happened to me about twice a week now. I dont know if its because I now know how to replicate it, or its a worsening problem. I posted this over at the ORG and people said its happened to them for years, but no one ever found the source of the problem... This is what happens:

When Im giving it pretty good fuel, say around 75% throttle ( think merging into a tight gap on the highway ) and then I have to go directly to hitting the brake, the pedal will almost feel like its in ABS mode ( as if I were sliding on ice )

You can kinda feel the vibration in the pedal but then it goes from that ( hard braking ) then fades into normal braking pedal feel..

Does anyone have any idea on why this happens? It only does it when Im on the pedal heavy, and then to the brake pedal. Other than that, its the normal brake feeling all day during normal acceleration/driving.

happens to me all the time. just let of the brake and reapply.

i imagine there is slight wheelspin and the speed sensors are all talking to each other and then go into cardiac arrest when the brakes come on hard and slow the wheels down at slightly different speeds (traction, road surface comes into play)

...but i have no idea LOL

haha There is a TSB for grabbing brakes/pedal kickback ( similar to ABS a little, no? ) It says to install a Magnefine filter inline for the hydroboost. Im going to flush the Hydroboost and install the filter. Filter number: M010CB

Then I'll use my Motive brake bleeder and flush the brakes.

Who's tune are you running? Just curious?

Anywho mine were doing the same thing. I even spoke to Greg at mpd about it. Replaced my rotors and pads and it fixed the issue. There's a place by my house that had rotors n pads for pretty cheap. Rotorworks.com

Mine did it three times in one day yesterday. I'm running Gearhead tunes.

I don't think they are pad/rotor related, could be though. I don't see how unless they are below specs. I just had the tires off and checked the pads, they all looked fine

Mine has always done it and it's obviously more noticeable on the higher power tunes. I've had three sets of rotors/pads/calipers on the front/rear of my truck and it's done it for every set.

Mine does it too. I thought with mine it could be caused by the locker locking/unlocking when getting into the throttle and then coming to a stop... sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't

Every Superduty I've driven has done that after a high rpm run. Pretty sure it has to do with the power steering pump not being happy at 3500+ rpm

Mine will also do it if I drive over a set of really rough bumps on the road too, no heavy throttle needed. I'm guessing a wheel or two is temporarily leaving the ground over the bumps and causing it. It basically wont go away until I let off the brakes and reapply.

I think a wheel coming off the ground trips it too. I know with my locker if I am say, pulling out while making a turn over a bumpy road my truck freaks out because a wheel is coming off the ground. It ***s with the brakes and sometimes will even shift funky when this happens. Makes the truck jump and tire chirp. It's pretty violent lol
