I have an e99 with x-codes and bilsteins up front, 350 blocks in the rear with skyjacker shocks. I want to bring the truck to stock height or even lower and have it sitting leveled. I want to throw some 33" tires or smaller on a nice wide rim. I want it to ride super smooth and I need suggestions on the best/cheapest way of accomplishing this.

I like the coilover swaps but all the aftermarket kits jack up the truck and are SUPER expensive does anyone make a coilover conversation kit that actually keeps it at stock height or lower? I'm not wanting to swap an 05 axle in because I dont feel like having to do the rear axle as well and then have to buy new wheels

I'm confused? You want to make the truck sit lower, you want the truck at stock height, and you want to fit wide 33s. All of those are different.

33's will fit at stock height.... I'm entertaining the idea of slightly lower than stock. I just want to know what is out there that will ride nicely and bring the truck "around" stock height meaning not higher than it sits from the factory for a 4x4 250

You could get custom made shackles to lower the front a couple inches. And I'm sure somebody with a 250 would be willing to trade their 250 blocks for your 350 blocks. After that, it's just a matter of whether you need new shocks or not. IDK if you are looking for tall tire or wide ones in the 33s, but if you're going for "low" maybe some wide, but low-profile tires would be a better bet.

yeah im curious if the bilsteins i have on right now are too long to reuse at stock height? I know the x codes are suppose to bring the front end up 3-3.5" so once those are gone i might have to ride with no blocks in the rear at all to make sure its leveled. I wonder how that would effect the ride quality?

Im not sure what kind of tire i want.. I know i want it smaller than my 315/75/16.. I would like my speedo to be back to normal. I want a little more MPG back out of it and Want that extra power the 35" tires robbed me of. I like the look of a wheel and tire combo that fills the wheel well. A wide rim is a must but if the tire isnt tall enough and the rim too wide its looks ******.

I was thinking in the ball park of a 33ish tire maybe 18"/12" maybe and i mean maybe a 20" rim.. is this gonna look stupid?

X codes raise 1.5-2" over V codes...if you lower make sure you have min 3" compression travel left in the shock.

Blocks do not affect anything except height....IMO X codes and 33" would be correct esp with 12" wide rims.

Well, a lower profile/shorter tire will help lower it for sure, 1010tires.com has a good size calculator that should help give you a better idea of what the dimensions would be. I'm pretty sure I saw one that was 325/40/16 or 18 at some point.... very low but wide tire. Looked sharp too.

My 315/75's rose the truck 2" alone. I added X-codes and a 2" mini spring pack and got exactly 4" of lift. All in all the front end came up 6", and the rear 2".

If you want lower....I'd skip the 33" and go for wide/low. JMO.

this is a street only truck and im un happy wit the way the x codes ride. 33" tires and an x code would look goofy to me. Im not really happy with the way it fills the wheel well with 35's.. is there anything i can do to add a little bit of comfort to a stock leaf spring without bringing the front end up higher than stock?

yeah i mean im not dead set on the 33" tire.. just something in that range. my real concern is getting back to "stockish" height with some new suspension so it doesnt ride like CHIT then i can get some good wheels and tires to fill the space

so the real problems i have are as follows:

1. I want a smaller tire
2. I want better ride quailty

im happy with the tire/"lift" ratio i have now so id literally like to replicate that by lowering the height on a slightly smaller wheel and tire combo if that makes any sense.

someone on the nation mentioned excursion springs with bags.. said it would sit like a 2WD. Thats really what i would like, The ride height of 2WD! i know the rear bags are an easy hign but what about the front?
