BTS valve body reviews please

For those of you who upgraded your trans with the bts vb how do you like it? Did it make a difference? And how many miles were on your trans when you did it? I plan on doing mine soon with 227k on the original trans as far as I know.

I love mine. Truck runs great with it. Shifts nice without banging gears. I have about 60000 on my tranny and switched from a b&m shift kit, best thing I could have done.

Nice. Do you think its worth doing to a trans with with the miles I have on it? It hasn't missed a beat yet or gets hot when driving.

i would as cheap insurance. But do yourself a favor and get a converter to go with it. your truck will love you for it.

i have a BTS Valve body and love it.... firmed up all my shifts and make my shift points correct and allowed my truck to downshift again after the changing gears and putting on 35's..

with 227 on a stock trans i would prolly just let it do its thing, even with a new TQ, when you blow the clutches out you will have to get a new TQ again because it will be filled with junk, but thats my 02, wait for it to blow and fix everything once

I would love to Just do a trans but its not in the budget right now. I'd rather try to make it last some what instead of just let it go. I can't afford to be without the truck.

does BTS just mod the stock VB or do their own? My FILs trans needs some attention in this area... every so often, he gets a pretty aggressive shift that just bangs everything.

I'd think its a modded stock vb, since there is a core charge and they want your stocker back.

do a search on you tube theres a video of a trans with out the VB an then several hours later (the same truck) runs with a VB you can def tell the shifting Difference.. well worht it..

i understand that... ive seen it many of times, put a stonger TQ in a trans and then the trans blows and your buying a trans and a TQ again... but i understand trying to pro long the life of it as it is

Yeah. I figgured if try to make it last as long as I can and if it blows up and takes everything out with it then so be it. I'm not worried.
