ever since i crashed my truck ive had alot of slop in my wheel. probably close to a 1/4 turn each way going straight down the road. that and it has bump steer like none other, the truck will actually go straighter over bumps if you just let the wheel take its course and not try and hold it tight.

another thing is when you jack up either side of the front individually, you can grab the outside of the tire in the middle and shake it side to side and it will turn both wheels.

i am thinking it could be gear box but i am no front end expert.

the truck also has a new steering stabilizer shock and a new adjustable track bar.

You need to have someone turn the steering wheel (engine off) back and forth while you look at all the components' ends/joints. Pretty much start at the pitman arm and work to the tierod ends. If a part moves before the one it is connected to, then that connection needs replacing.
