What? Its on the ground or ALL over the motor. If not, you didnt put the right amount in. Before you take offense to my synopsis please keep in mind seven threes are.not graceful with oil leaks. Often spraying it.all over the engine.bay or.the.road, or.both.

If you dont see puddles on the.ground, fresh seepage on the motor, or both it never had the correct oil level. The volume of loss isnt indicative of any specific leak.

False. In my opinion of course. I've had this happen a few times. A good mechanic buddy said blowby. I don't see how that is possible. But I too have been a victim of 5 low. No leaks. Oil pan is good. Mind boggling

Yeah, if the oil isnt in the fuel or.coolant. Theres gotta be oil on the motor. Ive got.260k on my 2000 and if its not.leaking I might lose a quart in between changes. If the motor is.burning engine.oil it.should smoke(i know, duh, more than usual) blue.

To the op, have you done the poor mans blowby test? Where you remove.the fill.cap and place it on the fill.neck, upside-down?

5 or 6 quarts is huuuge and.should be pretty obvious. When my hpo system was.leaking.it.ould leak about two qts in a week and it was definitely obvious.

Right, I had an FS2500 system o-ring seal that started leaking and sprayed the entire underbelly of the truck once, and the road. It sprayed enough oil in about a mile and a half to cause the truck to immediately start running bad, I drifted it off the road and shut it down. It wouldn't restart until I added the +8 quarts of oil back in it. That was one thing I will forever admire about the dinosaur HEUI system, if it doesn't have enough oil to run the injection system the truck will stop running... the "idiot" oil light was on, and the cheesy oil pressure gauge was 0 was well before I noticed the engine started to stumble bad.

I had to disable the bypass oil filtration on the side of the road.
