On my 01 it was behind passenger side kick panel. I'd check there first.

On my 2010 its up under the dash on the drivers side, but my factory harness for the lights didn't have a plug like yours.
Ford calls the connector C913.
All I remember is it was a bitch to get two hands up there to plug it in.

Pain in the *** to find the plug. Took me half a day to install if I remember correctly. Lots of cussing. Also, make sure all the lights are facing straight forward. I accidentally followed the slight curve of the windshield so the bases don't set down perfectly on the two outer lights because they are pointed out slightly.

What power wire did you tap into?

Your vehicle uses a Smart Junction Box (SJB) to provide power to the lighting. That means that every lighting output is measured for amperage and faults. If you tap into one of those wires, the SJB will detect the high amperage draw and disable the entire circuit. It can only be reset using the Ford IDS, as a DTC will be set.

The only proper way to install cab lighting would be to connect to the factory plug and then have the SJB reconfigured using the IDS to send power to that plug.
