Found a bubble in the shiny powder coat.. turns out that a small crack developed in the hotside tube after the trip to the track last week. got to clean off the area first, but how are most of you repairing these? Whats weird is that its in a pristine section of factory pipe. I'll likely put a couple of fill tacks there and grind and try it out, but my concern is that the wall may be thin.

Ive got a piece of old tube so I may cut out a patch and put it in instead.

Tig would be best, I'm sure it's doable mig tho. Maybe take one of your old pieces of tube and try on it to get the welder dialed in. You're going to want 100% weld to keep it from cracking again I would imagine

I just welded up my tube with a mig. worked well and zero leaks or issues yet.(there wont be any with my puney 35psi anyway! my hole was due to the pipe rubbing on the power steering pump fitting over time. also got to do a foil delete to get it all clean!

Its been fixed with a cap from a piece of exhaust tubing. I'll get a pic posted. Im not a skilled welder, but it works good and is sealed. After I cleaned off the powder coat, it looked like the tube was cracking in an area of a removed bung. 50psi began to work on a thin 'circle' of fill. I just touched it with the mig and blew a hole in the tube. The wider area of the cap gave me a good area of wall to attach to and could make some heavier passes.
