Call me stupid, I have a trans install question

There are two peep holes to line up the 8 bolts for flex plate to converter. I put my RCD TC on the trans, raise it up in there. But nothing will align correctly. How do you line up the flex plate to the holes on the converter? Weird design if you ask me. I have the TC slide into the trans all the way.

The small hole on the bottom and theres a hole on the driverside of the rear cover thats it

I noticed there's two peep holes. But I really like the 4R design with a removable cover so I could line them up an turn flex plate if needed. This is a piss poor design

Yea we drill a 1/2-3/4 inch hole to pull converter to flex plate this will make sure converter doesn't get cocked to one side and wipe out the pump bushing.
