Can't find thread (painted tail lights)

Some time back there was a thread where someone tinted their tail lights by splitting them and painting the inside. Can someone please point me in the right direction? I was given a set of 08 tails and I need to darken them to go well with the maroon paint

Be careful. The tail light plastic is much thinner than the headlights. It will warp, ask me how I know

Why not just spray the outside? VHT makes both black and red cans.

I personally have had enough tickets for painted tails I was over it, painted the inside so it's not as noticeable
