So we have been working on this truck for about a month. Most of the updates have been on social media so you might have noticed it.

Story on the truck is I bought it at an auction dirt cheap. Truck is an 03 ECSB with 130k on it. auction description said "engine issues" turns out 2 of the injectors were torqued wrong and the thing was dumping fuel in the cylinders.

My overall goal with the truck is to cut it up and build in my eyes the ultimate trail/prerunner truck with it but for now its just a track toy. Since Im going to be using it for my prerunner I pulled the motor and trans and swapped in by built motor and trans out of my 06 (the original project prerunner truck). I also installed an RCD thumper 2 pump and built the injectors to 260cc.

Major Mods to the driveline are as follows:
-RCD rods
-comp valve springs
-gogo diesel push rods
-absolute intake
-RCD oil filter relo kit
-bullet proof diesel oil cooler relo plate
-fulidine oil cooler
-260/100 injectors
-RCD thumper 2 HPOP
-magnafuel regulator and fuel log
-Fuel lab fuel pump
-CED Quick Spool compounds 66/82FMW
-Suncoast comp 5r

We are planning on racing it this weekend at the NHRDA race in Tulsa along with the ranger! This thing is a blast and Ive had a blast building it.

Nice! Love the Corgi egging you on in that "smoke" picture. Lol

Was the old motor toast?

Nope motor was perfectly fine. And I got 6 brand spanking new ford reman injectors out of the deal too. That motor is going in another project truck of mine and my 06 is getting a fresh rebuilt long block with new heads and getting 175s and a 62FMW and turned into a grocery getter lol. Probably getting a 2.5 carli system

Gotcha. Was looking at an 03 the other day that needs a motor. Figured I'd hit you up to see if you had any deals on one! Then I saw this thread. Ha

We raced this rig at NHRDA Oklahoma Diesel Nationals. We had some set backs that didnt allow us to make good passes. It was burning all 4 tires off the line as well as pulling the intake shut and ripping boots open. So we never got a good pass. Only kind of number we got was a 14.2 @108 lol with only 23PSI we plan on taking it to the track again soon to get some numbers!

Went racing with it tonight and when the 5r would shift it hauled! Raced a 11.9 class and in eliminations I smoked the lights so I didn't get a time but I had 2-3 trucks on him at the finish and he ran an 11.97 so it was moving and that was leaving soft with a 1.8 60. I was trying to leave soft to not smoke the lights.
