CEL

Hey guys, im on the road from Knoxville, TN back home to New Orleans. Im towing my buddys rock crawler(trailer and rig weighs approx 7300lbs). The past few hills we have been going up the CEL has been coming on for about 1-3 mins depending on how long we hold higher boost levels. What could it be?? Previously my CEL has came on when running my hottest tune at WOT. But only for a second. This happened going to work one morning and i managed to keep the light on long enough to run in and get the scan tool to check it. It gave me two codes. I want to say they were over boost and one was a wastegate code. Any ideas on what, why, and how to solve?

agreed I'm going with over boost but heck without a code reader who knows

honestley even with the CEL off I would expect it to store the code for atleast a while

atleast for a decent code reader to retrieve

Not 100% sure. Chip was in it when i bought the truck ts 6 pos with swamps tunes i believe. High idle 30 60 120 140 maybe.

If it threw a CEL, there is a code stored. I also am betting on either overboost or running out of HP Oil. Probably overboost.

Well guys i finally got around to checking for the codes and this is what i got out of it P0478 P1211 P1249. Any ideas on a solution to these codes? A couple of buddys from work were saying check the wiring on the inside on the valve covers. Possibly on may have got pinched?

One of.those is icp out of range and is an indicator that your hpop isnt.able to keep up the demand.

Well its tax season so if im upgrading might as well be now. Which pump are yall running? What do you recommend? Stock turbo stock injectors.

Stock 17º HPOP, that or an Adrenaline from Bob at Dieselsite. With the Adrenaline, you get a upgraded HPOP for less than a replacement 17º.

t500 is less then both of those. but i love the adrenaline, over 100k on mine with not a single problem.
