charging issue on an 08

Hi. The battery light just lit up on my dash. Checked batteries and they are reading 12.7 volts. Checked with truck running and am seeing 13.1 volts. My manual says 13.5 to 15 is normal. So I checked connection and they appeared to be tight. I'm thinking its the alternator. Is there anything else it cold be?

I had the same thing happen on mine. Batteries are good but driving around during the day volts slowly went down from 12.7 in the am to 11.5 by the time I got an alternator and changed it out. I would see if volts keeps going down like it did on mine

If you had a multimeter you could check the alternator before you remove it. Or after its removed it could be tested at some auto parts stores as well.

could do that too, they arent that bad to remove, even thou you look at it and think wtf?. just remove it thru the pass side inner fender
