Just thinking about this...really dont know how this would work, or how i could do it. just wondering if some people have done it? If i were to go with stock vgt and then a larger vgt, what vgt should i get and what injectors? just a thought for end of summer. also, what would all the supporting mods be with this? i know complete fuel system is a must and probably building the tranny at this point. but yea, let me hear some ideas! i would daily drive this truck aswell as pull a 12000lb race trailer on the weekends.

You could do it but you would need a standalone controller for the vgt primary.

Do you have a primary in mind?

Garrett

probably getting paid at work to post this from my bionic

As of right now, I really dont have anything in mind. Im open to everything I guess...vtg, non vgt, that is afordable, really not looking to spend 3k for a turbo...Just something that would be able to be daily driven and tow with. Not looking for insane amounts of power, but a little somethin somethin ya know? I will most likely end up going with a larger single, but I want to explore compounds a little and see if I could work my stock turbo into it. Or, if I go with non vgts? i know i cant have cheap, fast, and reliable, so looking for cheap and reliable i guess...? but also fast. I dont know. I figure I can have a 500-550hp truck for about 3500 bucks, wondering what it would cost to get to the 600-700hp mark. I know that if i go with the 500hp set up, I will just want to do more and end up spending more down the road, so trying to just jump up a couple of steps I guess.

as of right now. replaced #2 and #8 a couple of months ago, still slight miss fire when cold. rev x hides it though. Plan to get a set when I decide what turbo/compound set up to go with.

For 5-6, I would do a 68 powermax, 190/100s...stuff like that. Exploring compounds for 650-750 range.

I figured I would have a good 7.5k into a compound set up with injectors, then fuel system...trans...thats another reason why I will probably end up going with a single and shoot for 550. and my buddy with a 240sx bitches about paying 500 for a turbo...

haha, I am really hoping to go that rout. I know that everyone goes through this, but at this point in my life, 7500 bucks is 4 months of work for me, and I cant really justify spending that much on fun right now. Who knows, maybe ill get lucky on a scratch off one of these days. haha

ohh, i think im going to have to look into that. the reason i want to use the stock turbo is so I would only have to buy 1 instead of 2. #brokecollegekidproblems...haha
