I guess I forgot to mention the engine, I was lucky enough to find a 2011 6.7 that had some issues... The guy that I bought it from buys and sells cars and trucks. Anyway the story was, he purchased a truck from an action that had some issues and rather than trying to fix it they just pulled the whole damn thing and replaced with another one..Now I bought the complete engine, transmission and transfercase from this guy for only$1700!!! It was running when they pulled it, but running rough. And when I said complete, I mean with everything, the complete engine with all the accessories, along with the wiring harness, all the way back to the transfer case!!! Now I got this home and started tearing into it and didn't take long to find out the problem. It looks like it dropped an exhaust valve on one of the passenger side cylinders. Well of course it tore up that head but luckily the cylinder is not too bad. It's going to get complete rebuild with all new pistons, 6.0 rods, the crank will receive the proper machining to accept the 6.0 rods, re-heat treated of all the rod journals and then all of if balanced. I bought some brand new improved 2015 cylinder heads from no other than Sunrise Ford, for only $950 for two brand new heads!!! Man that was a pleasant surprise for sure!!!! I've yet to purchase the pistons as of yet, but those will be Mahle with the ceramic coated crowns...It's going to get head studs and maybe go as far as o'ringing it as well, just not too sure on that one just of yet!!! But anyways, the engine should be better than new and the Transmission will get a full build as well!!! So there's all that!!!! Hopefully when it's all done I'll have me a nice truck that should serve my purposes for many, many, many years to come!!!! And I'll be selling my low mileage (just turned 90k) super nice 2002 Lariat 7.3 F350 CC DRW 4x4 with gearvendor. I'll have to see, but I've been told I should be able to get somewhere near 25k for my truck!!! I don't know, but we'll see!!! I do know there's some guys out there who just love these 7.3s and to find to them this nice with such low miles is starting to be harder and harder to find. And it's a Texas truck and the underside of it looks almost like new, very, very clean!!!! But I'm not going to need two of them so when the F450 is near completion this one will go to a new owner!!! :fordoval:
