Mainly, i was just lauging because this is my first post over here and i chose such a controversial topic to post in. I can see that this argument will never end.... ever. To be fair i agree with both of you to a centain degree, i have built plenty of trucks in my day, albiet never as hardcore (performance wise) as your truck or shawns. However it remains the same that sometimes stock is reliable and sometimes it's not, and on the other side of the coin the same stands to reason with aftermarket parts. I am however, starting my build with my 6.0L which has been one hell of a truck thus far, having 175,000 km's on it, 4500 hrs, ran 41" tires, and been a patch truck it's entire life, which might seem nuts as hell to alot of people out there but at the same time i am trying to prove to people that the 6.0/Superduty platform can last a hell of a long time, engine and powertrain wise with the right mods. It really depends on which route you take when you reach that fork in the road like you and shawn clearly have. I can tell you one things for sure, that both of you guys have influenced a **** load of people into going either route and so far i think both sides are pretty even. Maybe my truck will fall apart after the engine build, maybe it won't i am very intrested to see and i know so are alot of other people. Sorry if the original post came off the wrong way, & i hopes this clears up the air.
