not sure if one has to do with the other so i figured id ask.
got a set of 205/100s put in, drove it for 2 weeks with the stock turbo, no issues at all.
last night got the divided up pipes and s366 put on (still dont have a tune written for this setup maybe thats part of the problem?) went to test drive the truck after first startup and at first acceleration it kind of made a little pop, not loud but i noticed it. it dit have a leak in the v-band on the up pipe though so that could have been that noise.
test drove it, did some half throttle runs hit ~25psi and backpressure in the 30-40psi range. was too hot to fix the leak in the up pipe and it was almost midnight so i was going to fix it after work today.

cylinder 8 has a contribution/balance code and it feels like it has a miss or a stumble. i changed tuning and havent got on it real hard but it definitely feels like its lacking power or i just REALLY need a custom tune for it. put it all back to stock tuning, ecm and ficm to stock. didnt change anything, now its just super slow and still has the miss in it.
so i figured id unplug the icp sensor and see if anything changed. drove it home from work, ran like complete crap, black smoke puffing from tailpipe intermittently, stubles harder, idles lower and icp at idle went up to 870psi, with it plugged in it was at 580psi.

anyone have any ideas? with only the injector cont. i was chalking it up to air in the hpo side or since cont/ code came on after the turbo install maybe a chaffed wire, something along those lines. maybe fuel pump going out? but after the rough idle/miss im trying my best to rule out everything verse buying a new injector.

i checked the #8 plug before and it was good.

i fixed it though. not sure which did it, but i changed the oil, put a new oil and fuel filter and fiddled with the ficm plugs. they didnt click like they were loose but oh well. its HAULS now. ill reply back if it acts up again.

It was more than likely a lose ficm plug. Those are hard to click in right and sometimes jiggle lose. We see it all the time.

Glad you got it figured out

If it misses. If it has a contribution fault. the injector needs to come out. Tuning it. Playing with it. Changing oil isnt gonna fix the fact theres a issue with the injector

What redneck said, the injector has an issue. I recently had the same issue, was about 9 hours into a drive todenver and my truck started missing and was not about pulling a trailer at 75. Cylinder 4 contribution. Got towed to denver pulled the injector and the nut side of the bolt holding the coil on had broken off so it would run fine sometimes then run ****ty and throw a code.

It was time to change the oil and filters anyway so i did it while i was trying to figure it out, not saying it solved the problem. Anytime i would tiuch the ficm harness even a little bit while the engine was running it wiuld sputter and pop. I had issues before with bad ficm connections thays what made me check it.

I would venture to say that if his injectors were running perfect... then he swapped in a turbo and up pipes and they ran like crap... that they did not go bad during the install. I have seen guys not plug the FICM in all the way and it run like crap. Then after plugging the FICM in all the way the problem went away forever.

I am not saying that there is no way his injectors are going out... but I don't see how just installing a turbo can go from running perfect to running like crap... Unless it was just an electrical connection.
