There is a loss of injection pressure due to stroke ratio changes in a hybrid, you add volume by diameter not stroke (like a conventional). With that being said You're going to make more power with a conventional than a hybrid usually. But there is a point where a hybrid will make more than an conventional. If you're dropping icp with a conventional thats too large for the stock oil system, youre going to make less power than a hybrid of the same size. Comparing say a 275 conventional stroke, vs a 275 hyrbid which has a volume capacity of 275cc but has the stroke of 205cc. A stock 05 pump can maintain a 205cc stroke with a 100% nozzle on full fuel. Any higher and you risk dropping icp. Power is nothing without ICP, so I would talk to elite on what you should do, because I have no idea how they build their injectors. If they can pull a shim and drop the stroke down to a more friendly level then I would do hybrids. If you need to, I have a fulle set of 8 plungers, barrels, pistons, fuel plates if need be if you want to start off fresh I will trade up with you depending what Elite says they can do. The guys over there wil get you setup right either way. But my guess is you dont need 275's either LOL
