Converter stall?

Getting ready to start ordering parts to build my 5r110. Need some help deciding what stall converter to get. Running a set of 190/75s and a s366. May jump the injectors up to a 205.

Agreed. It will spool fine. I run a 2000 stall with my s475 with no issues. I've had higher stalls and I like the lower stall much better.

How well does that s475 build boost "brake boosting" it with the 2000 stall, and how much can you build?

Whats stock stall? Would a 2800 be to much for a street truck?

stock stall is around 1600-1800....so yeah 2800 is waaay overkill. I'm looking to do a converter upgrade in the spring. Looking to get a Precision Industries one....maybe the one from RCD.

Im running a 2400 on a stock vgt and stock tuning and honestly Its not bad, but my other setup will be going on shortly.

I'm running a RCD converter with a 2000 stall with my ssx and like it better than stock.

Awesome news thanks for the reply. Been wanting to know/hear from someone with one on a 6L that's running a modded vgt. Does the truck pull harder and accelerate faster with the RCD converter over the stock one?

2800 is way high. I had a 2700 and it wasn't really that fun. It did spool the charger a little easier but honestly my 2000 stall works very well.

No issue building 15-20psi to launch it. Or in 2wd it will start spinning before it gets too high up there... When spooling it though on the brakes you just have to be a little lighter on the throttle and let it come up a little slower. Too much throttle and it just smokes and gets under the charger. I can take a video when I get the truck back together next week or the following.
