Noticed the truck was low on coolant last weekend, added some to the bottle, just below the cold fill line. Level seemed to stay steady until this morning. I checked it to just to look and it seemed a tad bit higher but nothing too out of the ordinary. Got to work and it had puked just a little, just a little on the top of the degas, did i put too much coolant in? Ive read the bottles are touchy about coolant levels, I'd have a hard time believing its a blown HG (my first thought), truck had brand new OEM heads that were decked and installed with new gaskets and ARP studs last August (2013). Truck is fully deleted running GH tunes. Has updated hoses and venturi t as well, no apparent leaks have been noticed (I checked numerous times) until puking this morning.

any thoughts? I'm going to pressure test it here this weekend or early next week to be safe. should i just expect to see cab off and heads here soon ?

Same issue I'm having except I had original heads resurfaced and only had 2500 miles on mine before it started puking. I used a block tester/combustion block tester on it and it came back positive for combustion gases in the cooling system. Worth a try to possibly rule some things out

that sucks man, only 2500? dang. yeah, ill be testing it for leak down and compression test here very soon. I'll be irritated if it is the heads though.

Where did you get ahold of a block tester/combustion block tester?

You need to check the level when cold to see if it's moving up or down. It'll rise when the engine is hot and go back down once it's cooled off. Also check to see if it's got pressure on the cap once it's cool. There will be a little pressure when hot if everything is good
