Coolant temp sensor

I just replaced my water pump but when I unplugged the coolant temp sensor plug the inside of it crumbled apart. I was looking for a new plug end but no luck! I looked on autozone and Napa websites and the sensors they sell don't even look like mine! My sensor has a post on top and the wire that plugged into it was L shaped with one wire . The ones online have two wires and a completely different wire harness? Is there a good aftermarket gauge and sensor that will fit in the same hole in the water pump?
