Well I guess I have a leak. Without actually having a leak. Really. Checked every fitting, hose, clamp, tank, radiator. Can't find a single drop anywhere. Coolant level does not change an 1/8 of an inch. But. The coolant system does not hold pressure. After a drive, Loosen the cap and it has pressure. Let it sit for an hour and nothing. Also tried a new cap and that didn't help. I know its not really an issue, but what am I missing

When I got my truck it had a really slow leak, most wouldn't have even noticed it. I checked the coolant every morning and noticed it was droping slowly over a couple of weeks and occasionally I could smell it . We had to put 20psi on the degas bottle and found it was a heater hose. I looked every where and never would have found it without pressure testing. Good luck finding it!

Check the lower radiator hose. The pressure should go way as the heat goes away.

I have checked all the hoses. no drip or signs of ever dripping, or dried coolant. I was starting to add coolant quite offen before studs. Didn't matter if the truck sat for a week, it always had pressure when I pulled the cap.

I guess what is happening now maybe normal and not an issue at all? This is probably the first truck I have had without some sort of head gasket issue. Coolant level has not moved an 1/8" in almost a year now.
