Still have them surfaced. I dk how many ford sets I've got that were .008-.013" out before even touching them.

Agreed. Check them over, I know some guys have said that even the new one's that come through are sometimes sitting at the minimum thickness without even being machined as well.

Who casts these? I've been really leery with the new cast heads because I've seen some pretty nasty failures in a really short amount of time, but it's so hard to tell where they're coming from. Can't imagine there are many companies making new castings for these?

I myself had a very BAD experience with new castings but I know for a fact they were Chinese castings because the company that sold them to me told me they were. FWIW, I'd rather spend the few extra bucks for heads from Ford or International if it keeps me from having to pull heads back off in 300 miles (and that's how long mine lasted, 300 miles).

Just finishing up our 6.0 part outs. We should have several sets of heads ready to bolt on very shortly. Pm myself or f-250-owner for time frame and price.

I know the OP got the new heads on but instead of starting a new thread. What about rivercity heads?

i was looking at rivercity heads, but needed to make a decision soon and figured i could have oems at the shop in an hour, or wait another week for the rcd heads to show up. im sure they would be just fine though, i would just want to know who cast them.

I can not comment on the new cast heads. I have heard a few horror stories, but no personal experience. I have also heard many stories of new ford heads needing milled, and also some people finding cracks.

We have a 3-5 sets left from my earlier post. Price depends on if you want just milled and pressure checked, or new valves and springs installed. PM myself or F-250-owner for prices.

I could have swore I saw somewhere in this forum recently where Jared from RCD said they have a CNC program for their 6.0/6.4 heads. Guess I was mistaken.
