cracked up pipe or cracked bolt?

Can't really tell if there's a crack around the flange or the bolt gave way and is allowing exhaust to escape.

Look above it at the egr crossover, there is a tab welded to it that vibrates and breaks the crossover pipe. Common failure on egr deleted trucks.

I had this exact same issue, I swear this picture is from under my truck lol! As mentioned above it was the egr pipe bracket that cracked where it was welded to the pipe and just falling down onto the manifold/up pipe flange

cant see around the pipe but you guys are right. from another angle theres soot visible coming from above.

Remove that pipe and throw it away. Relocate your egr delete plate up top, drill, tap, and relocate your EBP sensor tube there.

i appreciate the suggestion! if im gonna put in that kinda effort im gonna get an aftermarket set of pipes. not even sure if my wrenching skills are that good to do it cab on. nevertheless shes gonna have to wait till im ready. no dang time right now.
