I've got an 08 F250 with just over 19,000 miles. Bought it in march with 15k, deleted it at 16k and it runs great other than once in a while the cruise doesn't work. Like today for example I had to run about 25 miles of freeway and it worked going to, but on the way back it didn't work. It's tuned with an sct 3015r set on the tow setting.
Does anyone have any idea's?

Have you pulled the codes since its been doing it..odds are you have a brake pressure sensor going up..mine throws that code every once in a while and it causes the cruise to not work

Yes I believe it's p0373. Open circuit. Where is the brake pressure sensor? Or is there one for every wheel?
Actually the code is p0703

This thread should help you, replaced that sensor and mine is good. For a quick fix before a long trip fire the truck up pump the brakes real hard a couple times, shut it off and do the same. Worked for me several times.

Thanks! I searched google further and found a few posts similar with a part# for the sensor and its location. I ordered it and will replace. I have an extended warrantee I bought when I bought the truck but it'd be way less than the deductible to do it myself.

If another has similar problems its part number Part #SW 6349 on Rock Auto. $28ish shipped
