custom Intake

has anyone tried to do their own custom intake? I put a couple together for my dodge I know its not even close but I dont like the factory plastic trash on top of the engine as well as all the wasted space in the cast part. on my dodge I got rid of my maf sensor in the intake kit can you do the same with these 6.7s? Im ok with my intercooler piping as i already have the hard pipe CAC. I basically want to put together a Y manifold to replace the plastic piece on top of the motor and a 4 inch tube to the non vgt turbo. https://youtu.be/Hli09UOuL0c heres one guys way he did it.

its been done many times. you will need to retain the MAF sensor.

For the price, S&B is pretty good as well.

I’m going to eventually get a stage one intake from mike and adapt it over though.

Its the big brother version of what they used on a 7.3.. the napa number is a 2790.

Where did you get the oval boot from?

I personally wouldn’t use their filters but they have all the hardware you should need for your custom intake

Its not oval. Its a round 45° boot that i believe is 5inch on both ends. I dont remember exactly.
