hey guys

I finally got my plate from no limit to work with the edge cts pyro probe. Im running the street tune from gearhead and at 100% throttle i hit 1500egt and that was around 70 mph. I know its ok to have high egts for a short stretch but should they be this high with just a street tune? Thanks Brad

Compared to H&S box tunes, my Gearhead tunes definitely got hotter at WOT. Getting on the truck from around 25 to 80, I'd hit my 1,400 degree EGT defuel pretty easily on the "Performance" setting. I can't speak for what's really "safe" on these engines, but I had similar results... Usually, I just kept my Mini Maxx on "Street", and only used "Performance" occasionally. On my truck, Gearhead's "Street" file felt stronger than the H&S "Performance" file anyway. (That was all with the stock turbo btw.)

Great thanks for the info. I'll just keep a eye on things

We used to say that a truck that wouldn't hit 1600 needed more fuel. LOL
I would never, ever worry about short bursts at 1500.
