We all know how tight and nasty it can be to remove the spindles on these trucks. Once you get them all apart and cleaned up how tight is the fit going back in. Mine are actually not tight anymore and have 4-6 thousands of clearance in the bore now. I wonder how snug they were from the factory. Before they had years to rust in place. Interesting how a 8 lug wheel on a large circle is held in place by a 5 stud spindle on a small circle.

I did not sand the inside of mine or anything just hit is with the sandblaster to clean it all up for paint.

I guess it must be nice living in the South for some reasons. I have had my F250 apart but for the life of me cannot remember how tight it was going back in. I would assume a snug fit is preferable but I do not see anyway on how to reasonable address that once the rust has done its work.

Good to know, I will be following along with your thread(s) of your Dana 60 swap closely for when I have all my parts sourced.

I have a thread going now on here. I am at the crossroads of the RSK, F-350 springs or a custom set up.

I just pulled off the spindle on my Dana 50 and they are not a tight fit either. They are probably not quite as much with a little rust in there but they do have a touch of play vertically.

I am too far down this trail to turn back now. I have a lot of time in that Dana 60 rebuilding and refinshing it. I also kinda want to stay a little closer to stockish with how my truck is. I could make it just like a F350 again swapping a few parts out from the RSK mod.
