De-badge question

Thinking of removing my badges and stickers this spring and couldn't find anything on how the badges are secured to the fender on the '08s. Are they glued or do they have the little stubs on the back or what. I just don't want a mess like I had when I de-badged my Dodge. Thanks for any input.

I don't think mine would blend good like the darker trucks do plus I suck at body work/painting unless it's farm stuff that nobody really cares about.

I would pull every badge except those vents. All the door moulding crap and all. Most newer stuff is just stuck on. I havent seen one with stubs in forever.

What all did you guys who painted them have to do to them prep wise? Looks like that is what I'm going to have to do-might try to find somebody with Photoshop to do them up first along with my flares.

Scuff them, sOme good primer. That's about all.

Ok so no acids or anything just a straight foward type deal, I'm pretty sure I can handle that after I get some paint.

I found this site: http://www.automotivetouchup.com/

They sell an "adhesion promoter" for painting over plastic and other finishes like the fake plastic chrome. You can also get body color paint in a 20oz spray can.
