I used to have a little sheet/diagram that showed the maximum you could take a 6.0 head down to and where to measure it from but can't find it now. Anyone know where something like that might be? Bringing my heads to the machinist tomorrow hopefully.

I know minimum thickness is 3.74", but not sure where it's supposed to be measured from.

Everyone used to say no more than .008" but that was just a rough number loosely based on the 3.74" number.

I can find the unreadable thumbnail on Google from a thread on PSN but the pic was apparently hosted on Webshots and was removed:

I found the number specs, but not quite what you're looking for I don't think. It does have a lot of specs though. Cylinder head specs are around bottom of page 2.

If I had good HG's that held for thousands of miles, that is how I would do it too...You know the gaskets have a good bite and just need a little more clamping force!:clapping:
