I've noticed since I deleted everything that there's a lot more engine noise. Can't tell if it's just plain old valvetrain clatter like the older diesels or if it's some injector rattle happening from the tune.....or if it was always there and I can just hear it now since the EGR cooler is off and that whole side of the motor is exposed now.
What's y'alls thoughts? Still learning the idiosyncrasies of this 6.7

My 13 has more engine generated noise now. More so since I put an S&B intake on it. I'm running the performance tune from our friend and I am quite happy now. My truck didn't have any balls and the fuel pump was the culprit. I had looked at H&S fuel system but its a little too much money for my taste. I had asked Mike about one of his now famous intakes and haven't heard nothing back from him. I do have an unusual noise now, every time I shut the engine off the belt chirps just like my old 12 valve!! Mike if your out there, I would like to try one of your intakes.

I still have my egr cooler in place and I can hear the difference. I didn't notice it as much when I was running Spartan tunes, but maybe I wasn't paying as much attention?? Now with my SPE tunes I notice it quite a bit while accelerating but once I hit cruising speed, its as quiet as it was stock.

You should hear a 6.4 with a good tune on it, Rich...

These newer trucks run low timing to keep heat up. Added benefit is they're quiet...

You pump and move more fuel and inject it earlier, and you're going to get some rattle etc.

No sh**, I was driving today and thinking the same thing. I definitely here more of the clatter during highway acceleration. Not noticing any performance degradation so I'm ignoring for now. I'll talk to my guys when I take it in for an oil swap soon and get their opinion. It for sure seems to be a bit louder in the '15 than the '13 or '12, imho.
