because that is what came in the motor and didnt want to tear it down to swap them.

im thinking there is more to the story because it happened on the same cylinder and all the other ones are fine.

did bang the rev limiter on my first run from the sounds of it.

Maybe it was a piston coming up, when the valves were still hangin open, and the piston said to the valves: "You guys go back the way you came!"

I didnt even know it was hitting it until i saw the video. You cant hear crap in the cab. all you hear is the sound of air moving lol.

This is a possibility since both intake and exhaust rods were bent on the same cylinder.

but i dont think they were bent at the same time. After my 11.0 pass it had a hard spot when cranking and miss at idle. Ran a easy 13 pass just to win first round eliminations and next pass I sprayed it and ran a 12.0 and had a really bad miss and miss all the way threw the RPM band not just at idle. I hope to get the head off tonight to see whats up.

we have contact. but notice it is only on the intake side. the other pistons have a slight marking on them not near as noticeable as this one.
