I'm about to order a Redhead steering box but I see there is one for '03-'04 and a different one that costs about $70 more for the '05-'07.

What are the differences in the two and can I run either? I have the stock '03 box on there now but have '05 axles and suspension if that makes a difference.

I know the mounting bolt diameter it bigger on the newer ones. I can't remember right off hand but I believe the pitman arm bore is bigger.

Your pitman arm had to be reamed out to fit the tie rod from the 05+ axles if you have the 03 box.

If your keeping the 03 pitman arm. Get the 03 box.

Bolt for the 05 box are slightly larger in diameter as well. I had to drill the holes in the frame to mount the 05 box to my 02. Was just the slightest difference, but the 05 bolts wouldn't fit.

If you go to the 05 box you will need the box, new pitman arm, and new mounting bolts. I believe the lines will work but not 100% sure as I have not gotten that far yet with my truck.

I think the lines are bigger on the 05+ boxes. I know the nut is. I also believe they use a tapered end and teflon seals, where as the 99-04 use a stepped end and o rings to seal.
