Bigger rims might work better on the road and towing, smaller rims and more balloon like tires might work better where flotation is a plus, like sand, DEEP snow and some mud. It depends on the tread, air pressure, weight, etc. most will do all of it and excel in certain areas. I wasn't trying to get in a pissing match, but an opinion was asked for, so I replied.
