Do Front Coils Ever Wear Out Or Go Bad?

I have a 00' 2wd with 240k miles, do the front coils ever wear out, go bad, or sag?
Reason being that I bought some tuff truck HD coils and didn't know until I installed then read that they actually can raise the front between 3/4"-1".

Which is not what I wanted or want. So I still have my old coils, the tuff truck coils are great but need it to drop back down an inch. So wondering if I should invest in some new factory coils or are the old coils still have the same "coil-ness"?

Thanks!

Thanks guys! Will probably cut the coils and add an extra shock mount for a dual shock set-up front and back.
I've seen it on the lifted trucks but only heard of it on lowered one's.

Be careful that will stiffen your ride up if you don't valve them correctly.

Can you please explain about "valve them correctly" part?

I'm actually trying to stiffen up the suspension, especially in front.

I don't know whether to throw my oil coils back on, cut the tufftruck coils, or get new factory coils.
I think I will be ordering the Bilstein yellow/blue for the factory shock placement, then use the one's I'm running now for the other set.

All I know is I need it back down an inch and to get it realigned. The shop that said they would do it has kind of put me on the back burner for about 2 months now.
So probably going to try and figure out the coil situation and go with the Bilstien's for now until I can have some one put in some extra shock mounts.

Any input on the coil situation would be welcome? I would cut the tufftruck, but would rather someone who has done it before do it, rather than me.

Thanks!
