Hi Johnnie, This is a representative at Choate Performance, not Cass himself. I'm sorry you feel I'm coming back with a smart-aleck response, because that's not the case at all. I'm just giving you the facts. As for the machine shop, well, this is also the same machine shop that said we needed to magnaflux the aluminum heads on your 6.6L LML Duramax.. which is something you cannot do on aluminum heads. Magnaflux only works on ferromagnetic metals, such as iron and steel, which can be magnetized. Unfortunately, in this business, whether it's the engine manufacturer's fault or not, they will always be blamed for whatever issues a customer encounters, which means even if it's so clearly not a warrantable issue, the recourse they take is leaving bad reviews. And I understand, no one wants to be told the issue is not covered under warranty. It's a sucky situation. I'm not saying CHOATE has never made a mistake, but when it is on us, we honor our warranty. As for the truck, I'm sorry you have no faith in your truck or our diagnosis of what was wrong with it. Fortunately, you had the head gasket replacement done and sold the truck, which has been on the road and running ever since. The new owner called to transfer over the warranty, so again, we say- we hate that you feel like you had a negative experience with Choate Engineering Performance, but I'm not sure what more we could have done to please you, Mr. Austin. We hope this helps clear things up for anybody who had any concerns regarding this situation, and we still wish you nothing but the best.
