I've got these same mirrors on my truck, except they are seized like a mofo, and I'm afraid I'll tweak the door if I try much harder. I have tried pb blaster, heat etc. Is the head and arm still available to buy from ford?

I'd really like to find a new set of oem mirror and arms set up for both sides, I'm sure they are the same thing on both sides.

Not my truck, but same mirrors

Mine are flipped out and stuck basically.

I think I saw the lmc and they are not the oem style, they are chromed, which doesn't match, which is petty, but I've seen them and they kind of stick out.

I'll check with ford then, thanks!

I know here our Napa has em, as well as many parts stores. I think i paid $18 a side for the arm and head. Before i found them i had a glass shop quote me like $30 a side to cut and install new glass in my Ford's. Only difference is the arm seems a hair shorter(from what i can remember), and instead of being sorta flat on the backside they have like a K stamped in them. But prolly nothing anybody would notice.

BTW, mine were froze up as well. We tried a breaker bar but just kept flexing the door skin. Grabbed the impact and each side took one quick hit and were broke loose. I think the new mirrors came with stainless hardware and the threads in the arm may have been plastic, 2 years now and they still move nice and free.

well napa was a no go, they said they don't carry that stuff, although he probably doesn't know what to look for anyways.

Thats odd. I'll keep my eye out incase i run across my old receipt, although that is doubtful. They should be able to get em, they are like a universal mirror head. I see em on GM's and Dodges all the time around here. Maybe check some other auto stores as i know i've seen mirrors on the shelf before at many different places.

I've ran those mirrors for years. Probably put 4 or 5 different sets on different trucks over the years. The last set I got were frozen solid. I had to break the bolts off, put a pair of vice grips on the tiny amount of stud left sticking out, then pb blast and heat in cycles to get it out. Ended up retapping the threads and going with SS bolts. No problems since.

Bought all of my sets used from salvage yards.

What about replacing those heads and L arms with these instead? I got mine off ebay two years ago and they work great. I got the 184 model but it looks like they sell the regular head you are looking for as well. I paid 40 bucks for both sides and they are combo heads which are great for towing.
