Door Chime when key on accessory

First off I couldnt find a general tech forum so mods if you know of a better place to put this feel free to move it

now on to the problem

I have this little issue thats really bugging me.

When i turn the key on to acc. and the door is closed the Door/key in ing. chime comes on.

What could be causing this?

I just put a new ignition switch in to no avail.

Any ideas of what it could possibly be? Id really like to beable to just turn the radio on and not here a ding ding ding

Can the beeper just be removed?

This happened to me once, I found that I had a bad ground. I washed under the hood one day and it started after that. I finely cleaned both grounds up and it went away. A bad ground can cause the strangest things, check it out.

Does the light on the dash show a door is open? Could be a bad door switch
