I bought this truck from a dealership and it has the stock exhaust on it, it is tuned. So I took the exhaust apart to see him it was hallowed out and when I looked down into the dpf there was nothing there just a hallow pipe and a couple prob sticking threw. Does that mean it is hallowed with a dpf delete tune? The attached image is a picture I took looking into the dpf

if it runs fine without saying reduced engine power and a check engine light, then yes-it is a delete tune.

being my first powerstroke but coming from FI cars and living in emmision tested counties i was thinking about this modification for my 08 F350 which is currently all stock.

So quick question, adding a full exhaust (IE: Down pipe and the rest of the system and deleting the muffler but keeping a hollowed out DPF) when you mash on gas im assuming you're still going to be smoking everyone out? I have never seen anyone pulled over for it coming from TXS, KY, now FL but to play dumb with the laws im hoping worse case scenario it gets a slap on the wrist type deal but more or less a just in case.

Get some good tunes(gearhead) and gut the dpf. Smoke is almost non existent. Matt knows his sh!t
when it comes to making smoke free tunes.

Completely depends on the tuning. Welding the dpf unit back into a 4" exhaust is kind of pointless. Just leave it cleaned out and get a dpf back exhaust to clean it up a bit.

That's what I was trying to say, 4" pipes before and after a gutted DPF. I'm leaning towards the gear head tunes as well just trying to get a tuner at the right price.
